Rainforest zip lines, caves, beaches, the Mayan Ruins are just few of the must things to do when you’re in Belize. My priority was the cave tubing, because it’s the only country that I’m aware of (Please correct me if I’m wrong.) that offers this unique experience.
I arranged a private tour with Reggie’s Tours. I’m glad I did. The customer service was prompt, professional and very patient with all my inquiries. There were lots emails going back and forth prior to my booking. Well, I wanted the moon and the stars within a short period of stay.
Dennis was our guide. What an amazing guy. He made us feel that we were his longtime friends who came to visit his country. He was personable, enthusiastic, informative and takes pride of his country.
The highlight of our trip in Belize was the Nohoch Che’en Caves Branch Archaeological Reserve for the cave tubing adventure. It was a long but beautiful fun ride to the caves.
When we got there, we grabbed our tubes, helmets, headlights and life vests. We hiked for about 25 minutes with our tubes to the cave to this calm and breathtaking rainforest. With constant stops, Dennis explained the plants and trees, and pieces of history of our tropical surrounding.
Make sure you get here early before it gets really crowded from the cruise crowd. A friendly reminder, do not forget to bring a quality water-proof camera. Your surrounding is magnificently beautiful that you may regret not capturing, perhaps, a once in a lifetime experience.
